    1. Susan Elizabeth Jones
    2. Betty Brown
    3. I found the following family in the 1930 census of Williamson county...I THINK this is my Susan Elizabeth Jones, dau of Charles Jones and an unknown mother....Charles married a second time to Susan Elizabeth Holt (which has confused the search no end..LOL).. The census taker made a mistake in the original page and then it was compounded by the indexer...The original page shows John Shaw as head, and underneath the census taker wrote SU in the place of the surname, then moved over on the line and put Susan.....Then the indexer added to the confusion by putting SU as the surname for the two daughters.... The main reason I think this is my Susan Jones(same age as mine) is the presence of Lendon HOlt in the household....My Susan could have had a nephew named Holt....The original Susan Holt had lots of brothers... I cannot find the family in the 1920 census...Susan Jones was born in 1877, and was still living at home in the 1900 census, so she married late and had children late....She was still living in the 1950's because I went to a family reunion at her farm and I remember being introduced to Mabel and Lydia.... If anyone has any information on the family, I would appreciate hearing from you... Thank you Betty 1930 John A Shaw District 4, Williamson, TN abt 1874 Tennessee White Head Susie T Su District 4, Williamson, TN abt 1877 Tennessee White Wife Mabel Su District 4, Williamson, TN abt 1913 Daughter Lydia Su District 4, Williamson, TN abt 1915 Daughter Lenton Holt District 4, Williamson, TN abt 1926 Tennessee White Nephew

    3. I appreciate the responses I got to the Edmund Morris in 1820 census of Williamson Co Tn. This info on marriages looks like something I would like to know more about. Edmund and his wife were suppose to be married in Maury Co in 1817 but when I wrote for a copy of the marriage record they didn't have such a marriage record for those two people. So that is why I followed they lead that I found on the internet that they were in Williamson Co Tn. So my question is, does anyone have an index of names that can be found at the courthouse. I don't know if a person inquiring has to know what drawer it is in as is the case in many instances. What is the cost? It seems there is a wide ranges of charges even though most are under ten dollars that I have mailed off for. Hamilton Co IL charged me twenty eight dollars for copies of a will, that is really high to my thinking. But since I got all the other documents much cheaper I forked it over. I am looking for a marriage record for Edmund W. Morris to Nancy Rebecca Ross May 30, 1817 or something close to that. Also would like exact address and name of person I would send an inquiry to for such a record at the courthouse in Williamson Co Tn.
