Thanks , you all for all the help on SOPHRONIA TAYLOR . Can you keep you eyes open for a TAYLOR and FALKENBURY marriage ? Thanks , Jennie
Unfortunately, the only way I have determined where families lived during that period is to acquire old maps, then study tax records to find on which creek or river the family was located. jt
Thomas Taylor married Patsey Kidd in 1810, and died in 1816. Two persons at the probate sale were Mary M.(wife of Charles who died in 1809-1810?) and Martha Taylor. Is this the Martha you are related to? If so, what was the relationship between Martha and Mary Magdelene? Thanks. jt

I am related to the Taylors of Nolensville. I am descended from Martha Taylor who married William Pryor Smith. I got her pegged to be daughter of Joseph Taylor who was the son of James Taylor. They came from Rockingham County, NC. If there a Sophronia in the family, I am not aware of it. T. Vance Little
Don't know about newphew of James Hampton. I don't have him in by data base of Hamptons. Molly Hutchinson married into my Roberts line. She was kin to Louise's Hutchinsons. They were from Fairview area. Vance

Farnell-- I'm sorry I can't do the lookup but am interested in the Leggett Cemetery and anything else about the Leggett name in Marshall Co TN. My Leggetts are in the Henderson, Union, Webster counties of KY but I think some of them may have been in TN before that time. Would love to hear from you to see whether we connect. Our earliest known Leggett is Sarah who had four children: Andrew J., James H., William Bennett and Lucinda R., all born in 1820s and 30s. Sarah was without a husband and I can't figure out what happened to him. I think there is some connection to Bennett, John Pritchett, and Robert Williams but I can't figure that out either. There were Leggetts in the area as early as 1813 but I can't make any connection between any of them and Sarah. They may have come from Lincoln Co KY. Family always says they came from NC. Will welcome any help and share any information. Mary T. Leggett mleggett@erols.com > can anyone do a lookup in the leggett cemetery in marshall co tn, close > ot maury co line > fvaughn

> Wanda-- I saw your note to Darlene and am writing about the Andersons. I have an ancestor, Fanny Anderson, who married Isaac Twomey in NC and moved to Williamson Co about 1820. She is the daughter of Charles Anderson of VA and Rowan Co NC and had several brothers who moved to KY and TN. I am trying to find the brothers but so far have had no luck. The brothers' names that are not accounted for are Nelson, Charles and Richard Anderson. Are any of these names familiar? Thanks for any info. Mary Leggett mleggett@erols.com > Tidwells, etc. are related to the Andersons. In fact, if you need I have > several Anderson members on my list and will be happy to provide when > you are ready. Hello T.V.L. Your name came up in the Wm. Cty. Archives last weekend. Noticed some work you had done. You were researching a James b. 1760 several years ago. Do you know if he had a nephew born 1780-1790 who settled around the South Harpeth? Found out that Mrs. Lynch was a cousin through her GGGm. Nancy Irene Givens Hutchinson and my GGGm Letty Givens were sisters. jt
I don't think so. I have seen the name Sophronia before, and I think she came from the John Taylor line in what is now Nolensville. Nolensville is in NE Williamson County, and there were several Taylor families that moved there in the very early 1800's. In a message dated 98-04-24 20:36:29 EDT, you write: << Hello , I am looking for 2 TAYLOR women that married into the FALKENBURY family in the 1862 and 1869 . Their names are HOLLY T. TAYLOR ( 3 CHILDREN ) , AND SOPHRONIA D. TAYLOR . Any connection ? Thanks , Jennie >>
