May 9, 1763 from Joseph Davis of L and Cumberland Parish, to John Chandler, for 110 E, a certain tract of land in L and Cumberland Parish, about 270 acres on the branches of Meherrin River, and bounded by Miller & Taylor.     3. This is all I found. Page 286. To James Hunt ,James Taylor, and Elisha White, Gentlemen, Greeting. John Brent and Margaret , his wife by their deed of July 11,1763, sold to David Caldwell of L, about 500 acres of land in L. Margaret cannot conveniently travel to our county court to make acknowledgment of the deed. You are therefore authorized to go to Margaret to receive her acknowledgment. Signed July 12,in the 3rd year of our reign- William Taylor.. Lunenburg Sc. We examined Margaret and she relinquished her right of dower to the conveyed lands. Signed Aug 25, 1763-James Taylor, Elisha White. Recorded Nov. 10, 1763 Hope it helps, by the way Elisha White is my gggggrandfather, Janet

    3. Hello, Are there any GUINN or GUIN's in you line? My great-grandmother was Comfort GUIN, married in 1842 in Maury County to Joseph S. MORTON. I think she may be a descendant of Benjamin GUIN and Comfort BEARD, but I have yet to prove her parentage. Thanks for any info you may have. Cindy

    3. Carole, I do not have specific information on the Gunn family, but I know that there was a large family in Hickman County during the 1800s. I had a g-aunt that married someone from this family. I hope this will help your search. Co. are probably all desc. from Joseph LOVE My line seems to ve through Mary Marshall then Mary (Polly) Love through her son, Benjamin J. Love.
