I do not have hardly any information on the BROWN line, but I do know Thomas Brown, wife, Martha, and at least one daughter, Sarah were in TN. Sarah married Jonathan Green. The Brown and Green, along with Gray families moved to IN (Randolph Co.). Some of the Brown family went on to IA later. I do not have any dates for BROWN family yet and very little on the Green and Gray, but I am just starting. Jan

Gale did you try Maury County, Tennessee? Some of the Browns I was chasing years ago moved into Maury County around Columbia and Spring Hill.

Daniel Wilkes, died Wednesday 14 August 1833, old and estimable (Western Weekly Review Newspaper 8-16-1833) and 3 pages of notebook paper of old obits on the Browns. Hi Donna: Thank you so much for the information on the Jesse D. Brown names. Appreciate this so much. Jesse D. and Mary Ann would probably be on the 1860 Wm.Co. Census. Some names related to this Brown line is: Wilkes/Bryant/Marlin/Robinson/Sullivan and probably many more. The Brown family just suddenly after many years of being in Wm. Co just disappeared and I have not been able to locate any of them. Thanks for all. Gale

Hi Gale, I looked for Jesse D. in the 1840 census, and unless he is the Brown they have listed on pg.2 as "torn page"...011001 - 1210111..., I couldn't find him.
