    1. [TNWHITE-L] Jane Unknown LEWIS b.1805-1810
    2. I am attempting to connect E. Jane C. LEWIS with the correct Lewis line. Does anyone know who her husband may have been? She appears in the 1850 Census of White County, TN in District VI, Family 759: E. Jane LEWIS 43 TN Francis (m) 14 TN Martha 13 TN James K. P. 11 TN Elizabeth 5 TN The only LEWIS in the 1840 Census of White County that appears to have a wife in the 30-40 age category and a male and female under 5 is Hiram LEWIS, son of William Lewis (born bef. 1775 d.1838). William's wife name was Sarah, he left a Will and named sons Benjamin, Hiram, Russell and daughters Polly Rigsby, Betsy Hutchings and Keziah Rigsby as well as a grandson James W. Julian. In the 1860 White Co., TN census E. Jane Lewis is living in the household of her son Francis Lewis # 818-803: Francis "Frank" LEWIS 25 TN Farmer Sarah 25 TN Solomon 1/12 TN Jane 55 TN Sarah 15 TN In 1870 Frank and Sarah also had Mary 7, James K. P. 3. In the 870 Census mother Jane was living in the 1870 household of her son James K.P. Lewis: James K. P. LEWIS 29 Catherine 26 (COPE) Susan 10 Douglas 8 Jane C. 65 James K. P. LEWIS married Catherine COPE on Nov 16, 1858 in White County. I would appreciate any information regarding this family. I am particularly trying to line Jane with a LEWIS husband.
