    3. Our Williams family left White Co. for a time and moved to Texas. Since they were living with the Caruth family, I'm wondering if the Caruth's also came from Sparta? Does anyone have any information on the Caruth family listed below in the 1860 Fannin Co. Census??? Our Williams family was evidently living with them shortly before the death of Madison Frank Williams in December of 1860. What connection was there between these two families??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1860 Fannin Co., Tx, census: #257 lst column--dwelling # visited (780) 2nd column--family # visited (791) and here's the clincher: R. A. Caruth, 26, M Caruth, 19, Alonzo, 1 THEN UNDER THEM (same dwelling and family) MF Williams, 37, m farmer, Tenn; L D, 33, Tn, James T, 14, Tn, Wm D 12, Tn, A. A. (?) 7, WYB, 4, Mary E, 1/2, Tx. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Any help on this puzzler would be appreciated!!!
