    3. You referred to the Wilhite Cemetery of Cherry Creek but Willie D. Cunningham does not live in the Cherry Creek Community... In the Cherry Creek Community there is a old home place of William H. Wilhite who married Sarah "Sally" Stone. Their house is still standing. On the joining farm (of Curtis Mackie's) was a cemetery but a road was cut through the grave yard sometime about 1960's. Mrs. Mackie said there were several tent type graves before the road was made. I spoke to Joe Edd Wilhite last year about the graves that do not have markers since the road and he had told me where William H. Wilhite was buried. Joe Edd Wilhite died before 3-99. However, only one grave is there now that has a marker. NO fence. It is the grave of William H. Wilhite, I discovered it this summer. The marker is a Civil War marker. A couple of William H. Wilhite's great grand children are interested in put up a fence to keep the cattle from ruining this grave. If you are interested in helping that project let me know and I will sent their email addresses to you. The Wilihite Cemetery that you are referring to is also known as the Reagan Cemetery in the Fountain Head Area on the Cunningham. I had never heard it called the Reagan Cemetery but was told it was Reagan before the Wilhite. The Reagan's may tie in I do not know. Anyone interested in the William H. Wilhite marker I have a photo and will be happy to email you a picture to your personal email address. I thought this information might be helpful. There is also a Wilhite Cemetery on Cherry Creek on the Charles Gillen farm. I grew up on this farm and remember the Wilhite tombstones. It was fenced different in the 1964 we moved from there. My grandfather, Comer Stone always keep the cemetery clean as he said these where his relates. If I can help in any way please let me know. Hillra
