Sandy... Betty... and any cousins reading this. I would really love to attend the Snodgrass family reunion, but can't. My wife and I own a bed & breakfast in the North Carolina Smokies and the summer -- especially the fourth -- is very busy for us. 'Just can't get away. My gg-grandfather David Snodgrass (son of Major James) and g-grandfather Thomas Snodgrass are both buried at Plum Creek cemetery... as is g-grandmother Eliza Jane Evans Snodgrass. (My Evans ancestors, gg-grandfather Sevier and ggg-grandfather Nathaniel, are also buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetary in Sparta.) To complete my White County Snodgrass line, it's... David > Thomas > Charles Edward > Charles Edward, Jr. > Charles Edward III (me) I would greatly appreciate _any_ information, histories, antecdotes, pictures, and/or maps showing the location of the (David Snodgrass) family farm in White County. I know very little about my White County heritage. I also have a deep interest in learning about gggf Thomas' African slave "Charles Snodgrass" who he owned and, after the war, supported while living in White County. (Thomas later moved to Cumberland County, where the next three generations of my line resided.) I have one picture which may be of interest to some of my cousins... a photo of Thomas and his adult sons. Please share my interests with all my cousins. Even though I can't be at the reunion, I would love to hear from any and all of them.
