    3. In view of my previous post, just in case others come to the wrong conclusion, I must reiterate that as yet there is no POSITIVE PROOF that Nelly Looper was in fact ELLENDER RICE. Several things fit my scenario, but it will take considerable research to determine IF I am right about Eleanor being "Nelly" Looper. I must not jump to conclusions. However, it is a definite fact that there were two William Rices in White County by 1825, and that the one that was there in 1820 was NOT mine as I had previously and erroneously supposed. The census data just does not jive with my William's data from the 1830 census. However, the census data from Pendleton District of South Carolina in 1820 is consistant with William's data in 1830. There is also the matter of the name "Logan" appearing in my Rice families. In checking the Pendleton District records, the William Rice found there was living in very close proximity to Logans. Therefore, the names of Logan Mansfield Rice and William Logan Rice MAY prove to have had their source from this family in Pendleton District of South Carolina. The pieces do seem to fit, however superficially. If anyone runs across any data which may help prove or disprove my THEORY, and at present it is ONLY theory, I hope that you will contact me immediately. Thanks! Will Smith
