    3. It's interesting that my great-great grandfather was also named Marion Rice (1833-1902). Do you have any connections to Logan county, KY by chance? I find a James H. Rice there in the 1820's or 30's, and also found a James H. Rice in White County, TN minutes 1811 suing some Andersons there. Also, the name "Logan" Rice is repeated at least twice in my family.
