Hi, I am looking for information pertaining to Daniel Rice who paid taxes in Hawkins County 1809-1812. Was this man a son or grandson of Henry Rice, the Gristmiller? I am wondering if perhaps he is the same Daniel Rice shown on tax lists of White County, TN on Cane Creek about 1818. There seems to have been a Daniel Rice who purchased land in old Sumner or Wilson County at about the same time from one of the Buchanans. Hopefully, someone has data pertaining to this Daniel Rice.
