We hear a lot of talk from the Left about "Separation of Church and State", these days. The following website should be of great interest and usefulness to those of us into doing so much research - genealogically and historically. Please bookmark this page. Additional news regarding my upcoming surgery. I have found that my Veterans' Medical benefits are still intact, and this is a great blessing, as I've discovered that the surgeon who was to do the surgery this Tuesday, the 7th, is quite a dangerous fellow and cannot be trusted with a scalpel. He reportedly drinks a fifth of whiskey before he starts cutting on folks, and I have more than forty reports by absolutely unimpeachable sources that tell me he is responsible for the maiming and deaths of at least five or six people within the past several months. How he is even allowed to continue in practice is absolutely amazing - and frightening too! If you are ever going through Manchester, TN and get in an accident that requires surgery, please insist if you are able, that you must be taken to the COUNTY hospital, and NOT Manchester Medical Center. I believe this sudden info came as a result of God answering all the prayers you have offered up this week on my behalf and I dearly thank you! I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with the V.A. surgical staff in Murfreesboro, and I'll find out then when they can do the surgery, as I will not have it done in Manchester! Please take time to look at this website and let me know what you think. http://www.universitylake.org/primarysources.html >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Wolf's Lair Online Portrait Gallery http://www.ficom.net/members/wolfslayer/gallery.html Will's Genealogy Page http://www.ficom.net/members/wolfslayer/ Get paid to surf the net. http://www.alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=dwd-179 (check out this site I have found regarding Alladvantage! I'm searching for information on James T. ADAIR b. 03 June 1790 we 'think' in SC and his wife Anne (called Annie) SMITH ADAIR b. 17 May 1789 we 'think' in GA. They had two sons, John Smith ADAIR b. 21 May 1822 1822 in Locus Grove Henry Co. GA and Andrew Jackson ADAIR b. 13 May 1831 in Henry Co. GA. These records come from the Adair Family Bible of my G Grandfather, Andrew Jackson ADAIR. We 'think' that James T., Anne and Andrew Jackson Adair were either living with or visiting John Smith Adair and his family in White Co. TN in 1850. Does anyone know how I can get hold of an 1840 & 1850 census of White Co. TN or does anyone do any look-ups for 1840 or 1850? The Family were in the 1830 census of Henry Co. GA. but we don't know where they were 1840, perhaps even in White Co. TN then too. We would like to know who they traveled with or if there were any other family members in White co. at the same time. James T. died in Memphis/Shelby Co. TN 22 March 1851 but do not know where Anne Smith Adair died. I have other family information down to present time I would be happy to share with another researcher. I would also like to find the parents of James & Anne Smith Adair.
Does anyone know if the Wythe County Taylors were related to the Isaac Taylor and John Taylor who were land surveyors in old Smith County, TN by 1802? They eventually moved down to White County, TN. Taylor's Creek is named for them. Just in case anyone wonders where I might have gone after next week, I am scheduled for surgery on December 7th for repair of a herniated umbilicus. I therefore may not be able to reply to my mail for at least a couple of weeks. Hope you will remember me in your prayers. I really dread this since it's the second time this has had to be done. Thanks to you all and God bless! Are any of these Howells related to Nancy Howell who married Aaron Rhea, brother of Lucy Rhea 1787-1854 who married Levi Perkins. The Rhea, Perkins, Bolin, Lollar, Cooper, and Golden families were all related and all lived on/near Golden Mountain near Cherry Creek. I want to find out who provided the spurious information by which the John "Hamilton" Howell DAR monument was set up in the Elrod Cemetery. The John Howell who served in Capt. Nathaniel William's Company of Light Infantry, 2nd N.C. Battalion, during the Revolutionary War was the son of Joshua Howell, and was born in Dobbs (now Wayne County, N.C. in 1753 and was a minister of the Episcopal Church, living all his life in Wayne County, N.C. and died there at the age of 90 years in 1843. He was never in Tennessee, and there was no John Howell operating a gristmill in White County in 1797. White County did not exist in 1797. Neither was his middle name "Hamilton". This spurious middle name is not used amongst any of John's and Nancy's children, nor in the family of John Howell of Wayne County, N.C. It is sad when people take old wives' tales and crackpot research as fact and put it in the heritage book. > John Howell came to Tennessee between March 12, 1811 and August 1812, with his brother Calvin Howell and Richard Cole, and purchased land on Cherry Creek. Richard Cole's wife was Sarah Pool, daughter of William Pool Sr. of White County, TN. Their son, Isaiah Cole, married Anner/Onner Howell in Grayson County, VA in 1804. Calvin Howell married Barbara Rhudy in Grayson County, VA in 1807, and John Howell married Nancy Brewer, daughter of LEWIS Brewer and Agatha Holland (MASTIN Brewer was her brother), in Grayson County, Va on March 12, 1811. It is my belief that John and Calvin Howell were the sons of either Capt. George Howell and his wife, Mary "Polly" Osborne, or George's brother, William Howell, who resided on New River at the mouth of Fox Creek, in Grayson County. In all likelihood, George Howell was their father, since George was the only Howell who had land on Elk Creek (Turkey Fork), and who lived in the immediate vicinity of Lewis Brewer and Jacob Rhudy in Grayso! ! ! n ! > County. > > Thanks > Will Smith > http://www.ficom.net/members/wolfslayer/silashowell.html > > > > - ------------------------------------------------------------------ > ================================== > Get paid to surf the net. > http://www.alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=dwd-179 > > ______________________________

I have changed the graphic slightly and have added a new .wav file to my tribute page to World War II veterans. It is linked from my genealogy page. I would greatly appreciate some feed back and if you belong to a veterans organization that has a webpage, I would like the url so I can link to it. Please allow the wav file to load completely. I have also added a political joke page as well for those conservatives amongst us who need a good laugh while digging up dead relatives! Enjoy! The address is www.ancestry.website.com If you make a connection with any of these families, please let me know. I still have a lot of information not yet posted so I will be updating often.
