FYI . . . to all my list friends, I installed the new 2008 version of "Family Tree Maker" about a week ago. It has some great new features, but it's VERY, VERY, different and requires some re-learning to get the hang of things. Just wanted to warn folks who have ordered the new version, or are planning to, to be sure and do a backup of your database before upgrading . . . I did, thank goodness. The upgrade went OK, but it didn't transfer all of the photos from my old database to the new one. Fortunately, I have another computer running the old software, so I was able to get my photos from it. All of my data seems to be there but I don't think I will upgrade my 2nd computer until I've been running the new version for a while. I'm not saying, don't upgrade.
