Louisa Jane married William Almond, in Weakley County, Tennessee, on November 24, 1858. It was this sister that Jesse Easters Murphy visited on his mission. As he records in his diary, he was at her bedside when she died on January 19, 1868. He had been teaching her the principles of the gospel. They don't list anything on the children of Louisa Jane and William Almond (as they spell it) There are 60 pages in Jesse Easters Murphy's missionary diary for 1867 - 69........ I'll give you any that he mentions his sister. Page 16....Stopped at St Johns and visited some friends. Left there the 2nd of December for _______. there we seperated. He (Bro. I traveled from place to place till the 14th of January, the day that Bro. Wm. Smoot came to _______. William Almons, my brother-in-law. My sister was sick. At that we left there and went to Green Lees and to his son-in-law's. I was sent for then that my sister was worse and that they thought that she would die, so I went Page 19... to see her and she told me that she would not get well. Said many things to me and asked me several questions in regard to _______ bondslaves (?), which I satisfied her so that she was satisfied in regards to the plan of salvation.
