P.J., Below is the question I sent and your response to me. The fact that all these are being mailed to you on the mailing list seemed to suggest (obviously wrongly) the possibility of them being posted on line and that's the reason I phrased the question the way I did. However, my primary concern was the protecting the privacy living individuals. You answer addressed my primary concern in a most satisfactory manner. Thanks again for putting this idea out. It is already proven to be an excellent research tool. On my files on World Connect I use the option of including the latest date possible for the site to include living persons. This includes anyone born before 1930. The reasoning behind this is that the 1930 Census is available with this information. To date I have only had one request to remove a name and this was about 4 years ago. Identity theft is a problem in today's world but if someone wants to steal an identity there are many ways to do it. Keep in mind these postings are in essence published online so make your own determination on what to include.
