My husband and I will soon be visiting in the western region of Tennessee and I would like to take advantage of the opportunity to do some research while there. Did I understand P.J. to say that she had visited the State Archives in Memphis, TN? If so, where are they located? Pat, the Tn Archives are in Nashville..........that's where I searched as well as their Library which is all in the same building..........A very good place to work........ In this area you have some good places also........ Weldon Library at Martin Fulton Library at Fulton, Ky UTM college Library Paul Meek Library Pogue Library at Murray State University (excellent) Of course the Memphis Libraries are wonderful.........worked many long hours at the old one years ago.......... The Metro Archives in Nashville is also excellent. They deal only with Davidson Co TN, so they are very focused. It is in the Green Hills shopping area.
