    3. Can anyone on the list answer this lady's question? ----- Original Message ----- From: CWilson246@aol.com To: leecate@cddn.com Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 12:22 PM Subject: wilma graves calhoun mcguiston Hi -- Some 20 years ago Wilma Graves Calhoun Mcguiston complied a wonderful family history of the EDMUNDS (EDMONDS)/ PARRISH (PARISH) but she did not provide the documentation for this history. I am wondering if she gave her files to the Weakley county historical society or local genealogical society. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joanne Wilson -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.

    3. I'm working on a history project in Martin, which unfortunately does not have a Historical Society. However, their library does have extensive archives and materials pertaining to Martin specifically and Weakley County generally, in a special reference room there. I spend tons of time with those materials and working with one of the librarians. I'll be there again within the next couple of days, and I'll inquire for you. Your Wilma's history may well be there, or they may know where it is. (Perhaps Dresden, the county seat.) I'll see what I can find out. Also, you might want to contact UTM (University of Tennessee at Martin). They have an excellent local archives section in their campus library. Try the UTM website for the library e-mail address, and drop them a line. It's possible they're in possession of either Wilma's history or a photocopy of it. Good luck, and I'll post when/if I find out where it is. 3. Excuse me, on re-reading I see that it's Wilma's files and documentation you seek. Definitely try the UTM Library, and I'll print out your query and show it to the librarians at the Martin town library. > Can anyone on the list answer this lady's question? > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: CWilson246@aol.com > To: leecate@cddn.com > Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 12:22 PM > Subject: wilma graves calhoun mcguiston > > > Hi -- > > Some 20 years ago Wilma Graves Calhoun Mcguiston complied a > wonderful family history of the EDMUNDS (EDMONDS)/ PARRISH (PARISH) > but she did not provide the documentation for this history. > > I am wondering if she gave her files to the Weakley county > historical society or local genealogical society. 3. I wonder if this lady's name might not be MCQUISTON instead of McGuiston??? There are MCQUISTON/MCCUISTON in Henry Co TN and Calloway Co KY. Just a thought...
