john fourney Cavitt owned 17 slaves so i guess the land holdings were large. he is also listed in the on line Weakley co tn website as one of the early settlers of the ne corner of the county. I know the yankees ruined the land holdings as that is they they moved around 1867 to Henry co tn. The cavitt's are buried in paris city cemetery as i have seen the burial place. I know he and his son were postmasters at Elm Tree which i think was what boydsville once was called. think these communities were on the line of Tn and Kentucky. Any help i appreciated.
