Among them were a sound mind capable of understanding; height between 5 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 6 inches; examination of eyes and check of ears by the whisper method; no heart or lung ailment or faulty healed fractures; must have at least four serviceable molars, two up and two down opposite each other; ability to jump up, kick heels behind, hop first on one foot and then the other, and make several standing jumps; and no flat feet
