I apologize, but I was referring to Martin per se, not the County at large. I think that was clear in my post. I've been doing research in Martin for four months, have asked, and been answered repeatedly, that the town of Martin itself does not have its own Historical Society. All available resources, again for Martin per se, appear to be centered in the Town Library and the UTM archives. There was no intention to offend anyone. > Laurel wrote: > I'm working on a history project in Martin, which unfortunately > does not have a Historical Society. > > Weakley County does have a VERY GOOD Genealogical Society of which > I have been a member for many years.......pj > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to TNWEAKLE- > request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message
p.s. I am aware of your outstanding Weakley County Geneological Society/network. It's a fine and impressive effort and is appreciated.
