Tom, I found the same problem when upgrading an older version of FTM (2006) before this newest 2008 FTM came out. Likewise, I lost a lot of my pictures that didn't come through. Are the new features of 2008 program worth the change? Once I get a stable program, it makes me nervous to switch. I have been using the old 9.0 version for the last several years. My son just bought the 2008 version. I do have a very large number of entries in my files, over 100 thousand. The new version spent 2 days of trying to load my files and would not complete the task. Tech service had no answer for him. They did not even have any info on the 9.0 version since it is several years old.
