Good Morning to all from the "North of Weakley"......... where we have just returned from several days in Mississippi at my oldest grandson's wedding..........I AM NOT THAT OLD!!!!!! heheheh It is good to be home and in my own bed again............ Ok, who are we going to find today? I need to find out where Charles McCLAIN and family came from before hitting Gallatin Co, Il in mid 18teens .........They were in Weakley Co by 1823 as they signed the Petition......... Dear PJ, Can your family name McCLAIN be spelled McLEAN? If so, I might have a lead for you. Your reference to Gallatin Co., IL jumped out at me; most of my family (MOORE) research has been in Hamilton Co., IL. I'm new at this genealogy detective work and so have been mulling over the possibility of a connection these last two weeks. I realize that you are very busy right now with reunions and such to plan. Just let me know and we will go from there.
