    3. The Dresden Enterprise December 16, 1921 Death Claims Fine Christian Gentleman Willie Bernard PEERY was born January 28, 1892; he was married to Hellen WOODROUGH, October 25, 1911. To this union was born one little girl, Mabel, who was the joy and pride of his life. In early life, he professed faith in Christ and united with the Missionary Baptist Church at West Union. Later in life he united with the Christian Church by baptism by Rev. Fred CHUNN on September 6, 1915. He was always true to his professon of faith and lived a devoted member of the church. He was a good husband, father and was much devoted to his father, mother, brothers and sisters. He was a good neighbor and friend to all who knew him and to know him was to love him. He departed this life December 10, 1921 being twenty nine years, ten months and twelve days old at death. He leaves a loving wife, one little girl, father, step-mother, two brothers, one sister, one half sister and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death. He was an intense sufferer all through his illness. Just before his departure he prayed to the Lord to take him up higher, and his last words were "Rightous Father, I've come to see you this morning and to stay with you forever in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord." We know our loss is heaven's gain. His remains were tenderly laid to rest at West Union Saturday afternoon, after funeral services by Bro. Fred CHUNN. A large crowd was present to pay the last tribute of respect. He is awaiting the resurrection morn.
