Lee, Do you know if these McDearmans you're researching came from Virginia? There are sooo many spelling variations. I'm trying to help my cousin research her McDurmon line (present day spelling) who, I believe, came from Ireland, and you may have helped by posting that 1880 and 1900 census. Thanks very much for the census. My cousin's grandfather was Mike McDurmon (listed as M. McDearmon in the 1900 census). I believe his father was the Barry McDurmond listed in the 1880 census with Ireland as his birthplace. I don't know where this family was in 1870, the census that might break down this brick wall by proving Mike was, definitely, the son of Barry. We've often wondered if all the McDurmon/McDurmond/McDurman/McDearman lines in Weakley Co. were somehow connected. It looks like some of them may have come from Virginia. Thanks for any input.
