I've had some good info sitting here right under my nose for the last 7 months!!! Don't know how in the world I missed it, because it is listed under SAMMONS!:-( It is some 1880 census info from a Weakley Co. researcher (Lee Cate). I think I had overlooked it because the H/of/H is listed as H.J. Sammons, TN/KY/KY and that didn't fit anyone I knew. :-) I tried looking this up on Ancestry, but I can't access the image right now, so don't know how I will transcribe it. Ancestry's index shows it as: F.J. Sammons head 26 TN/NC/VA Susan C. wife 22 KY/TN/TN Sarah J. dau 4 TN/TN/KY Bryant L. son 3 TN/TN/KY Olive F. dau 1 TN/TN/KY So this, in my opinion, is the same John and family! What info do you have on the Sammons family? Also, what other surnames are you researching in the NW TN area? Today is a beautiful day in my neighborhood (especially with this new find!).
