While looking at some of the maps of “The Trail of Tears” I see there are several routes that were used for this tragic event in our history. I notice that Benge’s Route would seem to have possibly come to Paris, TN or very near, then turn west for a few miles, then turn northwest and would cross the northeast corner of Weakley Co. possibly entering Kentucky at or near Fulton.
