MaryCarol, I can't remember how long it's been since I submitted this photo, but it might be more useful if you could update it with some identification I was too lazy to include at the time, and maybe a plea for help identifying all the rest. I decided while typing this to send it to the list as well, in case any names ring a bell out there. The MORRIS-WATSON photo can be found here: _http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnweakle/photo_1924morris.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnweakle/photo_1924morris.htm) The ones I can clearly identify are on the right and in the front of the picture: The couple at far right in the back row are my g-grandparents, Morgan Daniel MORRIS and his wife Mary Jane Flora Ruth "Mollie," nee WATSON. Kneeling in front of "Dan" MORRIS is Mollie's father, my g-g-grandfather, Samuel Allison WATSON, b. 1844, migrated to Weakley Co, TN ca. 1867 from Rutherford Co, NC. 2nd and 3rd from the right in the front row are Aubra Carl MORRIS holding my mother, Ruth Ellen (MORRIS) SCHORFHEIDE and Carl's wife Jessie Lillian, nee CANDLER holding Mom's older sister, Alice Jean (MORRIS) HEGGEMEIER. Mom was born in 1923, and looks about a year old, so I can pretty definitely date it to 1924-25. What I know about the location of M.D. MORRIS's home is that it was about a mile and a half north/northwest of Dresden, and there was something about crossing the Meridian line to get there. I'm betting Joe Stout (among others)would know what that means. The rest of the folks in this photo would be Grandpa's siblings and in-laws, including some or all of the following: Vera Lillian MORRIS b. 1886 m. Almarine "Jack" C. ALLEN Lyda Maud MORRIS b. 1888 m. Wesley VICKERS Floyd Leonard MORRIS b. 1895 m. Opal Mae MOON in 1917 Aubra Carl MORRIS b. 1897 m. 1st Annielar ADKINS, 2nd Jessie Lillian CANDLER in 1921 Zula May MORRIS b. 1899 m. Calvin INSCO in 1915 Orpha Talulah MORRIS b. 1902 m. Sam WRIGHT Hubert Finch MORRIS b. 1905 m. 1st Hortense SMITH, 2nd Pauline BOYTE I remember meeting Great-uncle Hubert, who would be 19-20 in this picture, and would bet money he's the tall man standing next to Great-grandma MORRIS (third from right in back row). I've seen references to some of the in-laws' names on the list, so thought it was about time I took the time to spell it all out. Feel free to post as much or as little of this info as you want, MaryCarol. And you can add my last name if you want; there are several of us Peggy's on the list these days.
