    3. I have Pinkney "Pink" Gatewood married to Patience Jane Hart on Jan. 26, 1864 in Weakley County. He was a Union Veteran of the Civil War. Gatewood, Pinkney; Union; Cavalry; 6th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry 1910 Weakley Co, TN, District 6 lists him as a Union Veteran. I received this information from Ann Westbrook by gedcom a few years ago. Looking at the 1850 Weakley Census it appears that Patience Jane was the daughter of R. R. and Judith Hart. She is shown on the 1860 census as Posia. District 6 - Aug 22, 1860 Household - 2215 Hart, R.R./42/Farmer/600/300/VA Hart, Judith/27/VA Hart, Posia/13/TN Hart, Harriet/11/TN Hart, John/8/TN Joe Stout -----Original Message----- From: tnweakle-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:tnweakle-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of B Gartside Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2007 2:53 PM To: tnweakle@rootsweb.com Subject: [TNWEAKLE] GATEWOOD I'd appreciate any help in determining the wife (or wives) of Pinkney GATEWOOD, b. 1841, Weakley Co., TN, son of Freeman GATEWOOD and Harriet NOBLIN. There is a marriage record online that lists Pinkney as having married C. J. HART Jan. 26, 1864 in Weakley Co., TN. Census for 1870 and 1880 Weakley shows his wife's name as Patience and Patience J. Does anyone know if he had two wives, C. J. and Patience J. or is it possible that the C. in the marriage record should have been P.? Thanks very much.
