    3. Janis, You can purchase microfilm from the Tennessee State Library and Archives. If you go to their website they will give you the information on their holdings. I believe that the film is now $25. per roll. More recent film on newspapers contains only one years' issues where in the past there were several years on one film. There are slso films of court records, marriages etc. You can also rent these films from the Family History center at your local Mormon church but you cannot take the film away from the center or at least you can't here in Springfield, Illinois . I bought my own film reader, but they are very expensive unless you can find a used one. Our local libraries will let you bring in your own film and use their readers.
