Here is what I have been able to discover on a sideline of my ANDREWS (ANDERS) / HOUSE from Wilkes / Lincoln GA line that came to St Francis / Monroe County AR, which ties later on to my McLAIN line from Weakley County TN. (ties to Weakely Co are: Juliann Caledonia HOUSE who married #2 to John L. ALLMAN in AR was half sister to my great grandmother Clara COOPER who married Wm. David McLAIN b 1859 Lawrence County AR to John Henry McLAIN b about 1835 - 37 to Charles McLAIN who was living in Weakley County TN with wife Perlina A. UNKNOWN b about 1811 TN. The ALLMANs and the McLAINs were living in 1900s in Jackson County, Newport, AR) The ALLMAN lineage I show: Unknown ALLMAN from KY prob b about 1830 and Wife UNKNOWN also born KY. Son John L. ALLMAN / ALMOND b aboaut 1852 KY, died after 1910 Jackson Co AR ...married Dec. 28 1880 Monroe County AR to Juliann "Callie" Caledonia HOUSE b Nov. 4 1853 GA (famioly bible) died June 8 1926 Jackson Co AR according to Arkansas Death Records for Callie ALLMAN. John ALLMAN was Callie's 2nd husband. Callie HOUSE BRUMBLEY / BROMLY/ ALLMAN, b 1853GA was the 1stborn child of my gg grandmother Parthenia ANDREWS-- b 1835 GA mar 1851 GA to ANDREWS family overseer George N. HOUSE. They came about 1855-56 by covered wagon to St. Francis Co AR with her Michael L. ANDREWS / ANDREWS parents and extended family of her siblings. Juliann Caledonia "Callie" HOUSE's first husband was T. S. BRUMBLEY b about 1844 TN. They married about 1875 in St. Francis / Monroe Co AR and I find only 1 child: Iola Ollie BRUMBLEY b about 1878, died Oct. 7 1955 Jackson Co AR (that child married Allan Cop COLLIER about 1902 in Jackson County and had a daughter Kathleen Marshall COLLIER ---who I think married Mar 5 1924 Jackson Co AR to a Henry Cecil GARDNER and I lose the line--- and a son Allan C. COLLIER Jr. Tracked him. He was in the military, 206th Cavalry Regiment died WWII June 3 1942, rec'd Purple Heart and is buried in Sitka,Alaska ..among the lost or buried at sea, so I assume a plane crashed.) I'm a bit off subject, but it ties in ..back to ALLMAN) 1900 Census, Breckenridge, Jackson Co AR with Callie and her daughter Ollie BRUMBLEY. 1910 John L. ALLMAN's occupation was Merchant, Notions Store, Jackson County AR and they are still in Breckenridge township. 1920 on the Jan. 12 census date, Callie or Julia is a widow living in Jackson Co, Breckenridge twp, Tupelo Town, AR. I wouldn't have likely found the marriages for Callie HOUSE and her marriage to John L. ALLMAN had it not been for the memory and old notes my mother (now 87) made. Mother was born 1921 Newport, Jackson Co, AR. She was young, but she recalls her mother Audrey McLAIN WASHBURN and her grandmother Clara COOPER McLAIN talking about Callie ALLMAN ...and also Callie's sister Mattie PUGH. Mattie PUGH was born about 1857 AR as Martha HOUSE to George HOUSE and Parthenia ANDREWS / ANDERS and about 1875 she married in Monroe Co AR to William D. PUGY, b about 1847 North Carolina. (more info on this PUGH line....lot of children I have tracked ..sons who moved away and were in the Cotton Seed Oil business in AR, TX, OK and FL. Audrey in TN Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
