Gilbert lived in Dresden in the 1870's. He then moved to Martin and operated a jewelry store. I am not familiar with Weakley county area but he has to be somewhere between Dresden and Martin. Have all of the old cemeteries been indexed? Are there any on farms that have been forgotten? Debbie, what is your source for the information below about Gilbert? I had never heard anything about a jewelry store. Wow. He was only about 23 when he died.
