ALLMAN / ALMOND. Because my McCLAIN / McLAIN is also PJ Thompson's McCLAIN line that was in Weakley Co TN, I have learned a bit about border counties. PJ practically lives in KY herself. (PJ is the Weakley Co TN list 'mom.' Admittedly, the ALLMAN marriage in my line probably didn't know my McLAINs ..who came over to Lawrence Co AR just before the 1850 census ....but there is a loose tie. Callie HOUSE BRUMBLEY ALLMAN's half sister was Clara COOPER due to the mother Parthenia ANDREWS, HOUSE, HOLMAN's 3rd marriage Monroe Co AR to Dillard L. COOPER b 1838 Spartanburg SC. Clara COOPER became the 2nd wife 1898 to William David McLAIN b 1859 Lawrence Co AR, son of John Henry McLAIN b 1835-37 Weakley Co TN, son of Charles McLAIN (the 3rd Charles we think) b about 1811 IL, son of Charles McCLAIN (Jr) b 1784-85 in the Carolias, son of ?Charles ? McCLAIN (Sr) b about 1750-60 most likely. The Charles Jr and Charles 3rd were signers on the Legislative Petition to form Weakely Co TN from Henry Co TN.
