Bobby H. Richmond Posted: Friday, August 13, 2010 2:02 pm Bobby H. Richmond, 77, of Greenfield, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Van Ayers Nursing Center, Martin. Graveside services were held at Brocks Cemetery, Greenfield with Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield in charge of the arrangements. Richmond was born April 29, 1933, in Greenfield, son of the late Robert and Ora Lee Richmond. He was a laborer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Viola Eldridge Richmond of Greenfield; two sons, Billy Richmond and Bobby Richmond, both of Greenfield; three daughters, Rinda Peevyhouse of Greenfield, Linda Salmon and Terrsa Richmond, both of Martin; and two grandchildren. Services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. Bob Copeland and Bro. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial was in Macks Grove Cemetery, Dresden. Lloyd Bell, Bruce Saltsman, Donald Perkins, James Mayse, Michael Zigler and Danny Copeland served as pallbearers. Gatewood was born Nov. 7, 1931, son of the late Hubert B. and Zelma Elizabeth Glover Gatewood. He was a former member of Palmersville Ruritan Club, Weakley County Industrial Board and former director of Weakley County Bank. He was a current member of Cypress Creek Watershed District and member of Macks Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sue O'Steen Gatewood of Dresden; one daughter, Sheila Turbeville of Dresden; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Lerlean O'Steen of Dresden; and one granddaughter, Precious Elizabeth Turbeville of Dresden. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Greenfield with Brent Arnold and Mike Medling officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Greenfield. Drewry was born May 18, 1923, in Greenfield, son of the late Lester and Gertie Galey Drewry. He was a self-employed carpenter and builder and attended Greenfield Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jo Ann Drewry of Greenfield; one son, Mike Drewry of Goodlettsville; one daughter, Babbie Drewry of Greenfield; one sister, Margie Holmes of Memphis; and two brothers, Ray Drewry of Hickman, Ky., and Richard Drewry of Osceola, Mo. Byars, 86, of Martin, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Martin with Rev. Randy Cooper officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. tonight and at the church at 10 a.m. Friday until service time. David Byars Jr., John David Cole, Chris Cole, Bart Belew, George Pritchett and James Pritchett will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Byars, Hardy Loyd, Joe Damron, Bill Jackson, Jerry Crosser, Billy Miles, Ricky Dowland, Denton Bell, Don Teal, Avery Webb, Donald Ray High and Robert Carroll. Byars was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Palmersville, son of the late Armer Lee and Inez Brundige Byars. He was a retired brick mason and a member of First United Methodist Church.
