Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Valley Cemetery, Gleason with Hurbert Reed officiating. Williams Funeral Home of Gleason was in charge of the arrangements. Ballew was born July 5, 1979 in Nashville, son of Robert and Debora Demonbreun Ballew of Gleason. He was a laborer. Survivors also include his girlfriend, Anlaesha Lampkins of Nashville; one son, Cortez Robert Ballew of Nashville; one stepson, Quadrous Ballew of Nashville; one daughter, Alonda Ballew of Nashville; and one sister, April Shell of Gleason. Hollandsworth, 78, of Bradford, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin. Services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel, Bradford with Bro. Brad Brewer officiating. Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery. Hollandsworth was born Nov. 5, 1931 in Bradford, son of the late Sam E. and Cora I. Blancett Hollandsworth. He was a member of Locust Grove Church of Christ, Bradford. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Danny Cash of Martin, Kathy and Harter Kirkendall of Lafayette, Ind.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Polly and Harold Norman of Bradford, and Margaret Green of Sharon; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel, Dresden with Dr. Don McCulley officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Dresden. Ben Moore, David Weldon, Mark Rushing, Darrin Reynolds, Dan Crofford, Kenneth Lovelace and Jim Moore served as pallbearers. Mrs. Houston was born Dec. 17, 1920 in Weakley County, daughter of the late Loner M. and Hallie B. Nickols Wright. She was the widow of Raymond Odell Houston. She was a factory worker at Kellwood Corp. and a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Kenneth Moore of Dresden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Houston, Larry and Regina Houston, all of Martin; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Louise Wright Milton of Martin, Olene and Billie Robey of South Fulton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Masel and Elise Wright and Roy and Barbara Wright, all of Martin; seven grandchildren, Kristy Houston, Cherie Weldon, Angie Rushing, Ben Moore, Emily Reynolds, Tessica Houston and Marla Simmons; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Wright, Ray Wright and Louis Wright; and one great-grandchild. John Lumbley officiating. Burial will be in Milligan Springs Cemetery, Kilmichael, Miss. with Bowlin Funeral Home of Dresden in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Peacock was born July 1, 1914 in Mingus, Palo Pinto County, Texas, daughter of the late William Morris and Lenore Belle Strahan Hodges. She was the widow of Johnie Erlin Peacock. She was a housewife and member of North Winona Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ed Wayne and Roberta Peacock of Martin; two sisters, Olene Grantham of Lancaster, Calif. and Gelena Williams of Eupora, Miss.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
