    3. Roy A. House Posted: Thursday, September 23, 2010 1:02 pm Roy A. House, 96, of Westland, Mich., died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Mich. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home in Westland. House was born June 24, 1914, son of the late Earnest and Bertha Jackson House. He was a retired welder in Detroit. He was a member of the North Ridge Church in Plymouth, Mich. Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Mrs. Maggie Wilson House of Westland; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Gail and Richard Labell of Fenton, Mich.; two sisters, Ann Vigil of St. Augustine, Fla. and Estelle Bowden of Garden City, Mich.; two brothers, Russell House of Livonia, Mich. and Fred House of Martin; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe House; four brothers, Martin Le House, J. C. Grissom, 63, of Smyrna, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville Services were held at 11 a.m. today at Stones River Baptist Church with Bro. G. W. Moon officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Mike Aldridge officiating and full military rites with Woodfin Chapel Funeral Home in Smyrna in charge of the arrangements. Grissom was born in Fulton, Ky., son of the late Samuel Dewey and Corene Jones Grissom. He was a graduate of Martin High School, served with the Army National Guard for six years, was an operational manager with Nashville Wholesale Meats and a member and deacon at Stones River Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Lois Grissom of Smyrna; one daughter and son-in-law, Valarie and Russell Faulk of Readyville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shena Grissom of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Joyce Grissom of Rutherville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Wanda and Benny Jackson of Palmersville, and Dorothy Engstrom of Pulaski; one sister-in-law, Marolyn Grissom of South Fulton; two grandchildren, Ty Grissom and Levi Grissom, both of Bakersville; and several nieces and nephews. Gallimore Sr., 76, of Dresden, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Perkins and Rev. Stan Brooks officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Dresden. John Gallimore, Jerry Gallimore III, Tyler Gallimore, David Gallimore, Johnny Hill and Tony Gallimore served as pallbearers. Gallimore was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Dresden, son of the late Buford and Clara Belle Davis Gallimore. He was a retired Baptist minister after 48 years, member of the Weakley County Baptist Association and Fellowship Baptist Church, Sharon. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Baker Gallimore of Dresden; two sons, Mark Gallimore and Jerry Wayne Gallimore Jr., both of Dresden; one stepson, Ricky Taylor of Dyersburg; two stepdaughters, Sherry Payne of Dyersburg and Amanda Ward of Martin; one brother, Donald Gallimore of Dresden; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Smith of Dresden; four grandchildren, John Gallimore, Jerry Gallimore III, Tyler Gallimore and Sam Gallimore; and four stepgrandchildren, Jason Payne, Michael Payne, Ty Ward and Cody Ward. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Gallimore; one daughter, Diana Lofton; and one brother, Pete Gallimore. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brocks Cemetery, Greenfield with Horry Dungan officiating and Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield in charge of the arrangements. Cantrell was born Jan. 18, 1923 in Steel, Mo., son of the late Vernon T. and Ila Travis Cantrell. He was a farmer/rancher. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Bee Cantrell of Greenfield; three sons, Ron Cantrell and Bobby Cantrell, both of Greenfield and Randy Cantrell of South Fulton; one daughter, Brenda Childress of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
