    3. Virginia B. Ricketts Posted: Friday, September 3, 2010 3:32 pm Mrs. Virginia B. Ricketts, 64, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at House of Prayer, Greenfield with Billy Cobb officiating. Burial was in Bradberry Cemetery, Dresden with Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Ricketts was born Sept. 3, 1945 in Martin, daughter of the late George Otis and Dora Row Bradberry. She was a housewife and attended House of Prayer Church. Survivors include her husband, Don Ricketts of Greenfield; one daughter, Stacy Patterson of Munford; one son, Charles Ricketts of Greenfield; one sister, Maxine Adams of Dresden; one brother, Bobby Bradberry of Dresden; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today at East Side Cemetery, Martin with Bro. John Forgy officiating and Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Bob Pritchett, Harold Garner, Monte Garner, Raphel Walker and Steve Wright served as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Gill was born June 17, 1917 in Rives, daughter of the late Charles David and Jennie Burnett Reeder. She was the widow of J. D. Gill. She was a graduate of Rives High School, a homemaker, a volunteer for the Red Cross Bank for 25 years, neighborhood chairman for Girl Scouts of America, and member of Martin Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Gill of Martin; one daughter, Jo Kathryn Gill Maddox of Martin; and two grandchildren, Marlena and Sean Belding of Salt Lake City, Utah and David and Michelle Maddox of Sharon. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Delma C. Reeder, Lloyd W. Reeder and L. F. Reeder; and one sister, Elizabeth Revis. Services were held Wednesday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel in Sharon with Bro. Jim Garner officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Danner was the widow of Lee Danner. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, taught Sunday School for more than 50 years, was a member of the WMU, member of the Huguenot Society of American and had written numerous poems and had two published. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Maxine and Bro. Billy Garner of Dresden, Joan and Dan Todd of Bradford and Brenda Smith of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Velma Brown, Lucille Robinson and Iness Thomas; and one brother, Lloyd Taylor. WCP 8.31.10
