I LOVE Cherry Jones. I envy you her friendship and I'm proud to tell anyone and everyone that she's from my neck of the woods. My husband lived a block from the WTC until April of 2001. He would have been crossing West Street on his way to work just as the first plane hit, had he stayed there. A couple of years later, we were back in NYC and went to his apt building to see how everyone there and in his Battery Park neighborhood had made it. They were kind enough to let us go back up to the roof of his building where we looked down into the crater. It was one of the sickest feelings I've ever had.
