    3. This might be a long shot, but I do have Levi A. FORREST, b. c1836 or 1837 (in KY or TN, depending on the census). On July 6, 1870 in Charleston, Mississippi Co., Missouri, he married Louisiana "Lucy Ann" SIMMONS, (b. March 13, 1852, Bradshaw Twp., Greene Co., AR), dau. of James A. SIMMONS who is believed to have been the brother of my g grandfather, John SIMMONS, who from the 1830's until his death in 1890, lived in Weakley and Obion counties in TN. Levi's parents (according to a family researcher) were Jackson FORREST, b. c1823, Gibson Co., TN and Martha CANTRELL, b. c1819, TN. Jackson and Martha's children were the above mentioned Levi A. FORREST; Mary A. FORREST, b.c1840, TN; Benjamin FORREST, b. c1842, TN; Greenberry B. FORREST, b. March 14, 1846, TN; Nancy FORREST, b. c1848, TN; Peter FORREST, b. c1849; and Watson FORREST, b. c1850 in Bradshaw Twp., Greene Co., AR. I don't know if any of these people might connect with your line, but Levi, his wife and children, migrated to Charleston, Mississippi Co., Missouri (which is not too far from Dunklin Co., Missouri) between 1860 and 1870. I have no other information about Martha CANTRELL FORREST, Levi's mother. Good luck with your research! 2. This is none of my business, but Tennessee did indeed have an 1820 census. At the time, there were no Henry, Carroll, Weakley or Benton Counties. Henry was opened for settlement in 1821, which is about the same time as the other counties mentioned. Peggy M. T. In a message dated 5/21/2007 1:19:35 A.M. 2. I am currently working on a manuscript for my side of the family , my FORREST family is supposedly related to Nathan Bedford Forrest, but I have not found any links. We are having a Forrest family reunion this coming Saturday !! I am flying ( for the first time ever!) Thursday from Michigan to Louisiana. I get to see my father who has stayed in Louisiana since mom passed away last July while on vacation there. My 8 yr old boy gets to see his grandpa, who we had live all of his life. Not only did my son lose his grandma, his own father ( my husband passed in Oct) but basically his grandpa too cause grandpa never came back home here to Michigan. I am looking forward to meeting all of my relatives ( I have first cousins I have never met!!) Back on the homefront , earlier this week I put up a fence around what is going to be my garden, to keep our beagle puppy out of it! Well little did I realize a 2 ft fence was NOT going to cut it ( he jumped over it!) Today I put up a 4ft fence and got the tomatoes in the ground , next thing I knew there the dang dog is in the garden again!( Seems as though he slithered through a end gap) Well, I turned the water on him!! I don't think he will go back again LOL Least I hope not!!!! Happy hunting Deb ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    2. Mary Louise Gossum
    3. I have another recipe for green tomatoes and I wait until just before the first frost to pick as the small tomatoes work better than larger ones. I don't know if this would be called pickles, relish or what. 1 gallon small green tomatoes, sliced 4 onions sliced XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx Bring to a boil the following 2 t salt 2 t celery seeds 2 t mustard seeds 1 t crushed red pepper 4 cups vinegar 4 cups sugar I tried Splenda this past Fall and it worked fine. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Add tomatoes and onions to the hot vinegar/sugar mixture and bring back to a boil. Cool. That's it. From there you just put them in a container in the refrigerator. No canning. I put mine in a gallon ice cream bucket in the outside refrigerator and the ones I made last Fall are still good. In fact, I had some this past Thursday. Great on white beans cooked with country ham. Mary Louise Outgoing mail checked by Norton AntiVirus

    3. This is the title of one of the pics I got today........ This is a picture of the Clements and the Halls; which my grandmother was a Hall. I included it because I thought there might be a picture of Lula there. Her twin Ollie is on the left in kind of a white suit with hair cut real short? The other picture is my Great Grandmother Hall...... > This is what I have on Daniel Clement. > Born ca 1765 VA > died ca 1842 Henry CO, TN > > Married 5-14-1807 Pittsylvania Co, Virginia > TO: Wilmoth Irby born ca 1785 VA died ca 1825 > > Daniel married again but I have no information on this marriage except it > produced at least 2 children. > Rachel Clement born ca 1828 > Abraham Clement born ca 1826 > > I don't have a marriage to the Hall family. > > Susanna Hill was the daughter of Isaac Hill & Margaret Jennings, I > believe, > >

    2. Yes Benjamin Clement was married to Susanna Hill--- They named their home Clement Hill. Susanna is a recognized Patriot in the Rev. war. She "furnished supplies for public use". Her descendents can join the DAR, I am told but I am not a member. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Louisa Jane married William Almond, in Weakley County, Tennessee, on November 24, 1858. It was this sister that Jesse Easters Murphy visited on his mission. As he records in his diary, he was at her bedside when she died on January 19, 1868. He had been teaching her the principles of the gospel. They don't list anything on the children of Louisa Jane and William Almond (as they spell it) There are 60 pages in Jesse Easters Murphy's missionary diary for 1867 - 69........
