Hello, I am searching for any information on the Kelso family in Cravens Mills, Wayne County, TN between 1836 and 1860. The last time I found my ggg-grandfather Legrand Kelso was on the 1860 Census. By 1870, his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Holt) Kelso, and kids moved to Bell City, Stoddard County, MO and Legrand was not with them. I assume he died, but didn¹t know if he died in TN, MO, or somewhere in between. Also I read somewhere about Cravens Mills burning in 1863 during the Civil War. Do you think this could explain why they moved to MO? How would you find out if Legrand was a soldier in war?
