(I was ordering the book.) I ask her about the "mistake" in the book of naming Jordan W. Darnell, born 1808..."Bob". (She said most of the Darnell information came from Billy Darnell). She said it was not a mistake, that his name was Robert Jordan Darnell...the only record I have found that shows him as Jordan W. Darnell is their marriage record...all other census records states: Jordan Darnell. Thank you for information on the 2nd Mounted and the bushwhackers! Now I know for sure I want that book. The J. W. Darnell of the 5th Tennessee Infantry CSA, I agree could be Jordan Darnell. However, it is believed that Jordan (Sr) died around 1856.
