Just curious: I have asked now on this message board about 4 or 5 times over the last year or so about the Howards of Wayne County...much like Steve Cooper's query about the Hill family. I have also posted inquires on the Wayne County sight. I have never gotten a response of any kind. I am just curious... Am I asking the wrong question's? Am I doing this all wrong? Do I need to ask specific questions about specific records? Is there some product call I am in fringing upon? Please enlighten me Nena Wright Hondo, Texas

I am always envious of the chatter among distant cousins--I know my Lothlen's/ Carter's, perhaps, Merediths and Walkers were from Wayne and Hickman counties. I have had some wonderful responses from people and then had very dry times with some very thick Brick walls. Give as much info as you can and orient in time, if at all possible. That helps in figuring out if there is a relative. I would love to connect William Kesner with Mary Meredith or Merideth...and be able to connect with one of the Meredith families--my connections to Wayne county are early in the 1817-1840's and then until the death of the last Carter sister in the late 1890s. So it is just that sometimes you are at the head of the research and others have to catch up....Happy hunting.
