    3. I want to jump in here too. My John Worthen of Wayne County had one son, Wm. S. Warthen who moved to Texas in 1854 and wore the Gray, his brother Isaiah wore the Gray first in someone else's place while living in Wayne County, then returned and joined the Blue side. I am sure this was difficult for their family. As for Biffle, I think it is strange but W.
