Although I have no direct relationship to the Lindseys I have followed Sylvester B. and Elander/Ellen Lindsey through Wayne County citations, and I am assuming they are the Sylvester and Ellie referred to in the article. William T. Martin is found in their 1860 census houshold along with Lucinda Jane Martin who is said to be his sister. Information collected from other researchers indicates that the Lindseys were their aunt and uncle. William T. Martin married Eliza Hayes, the eldest daughter of William R. and Sarah Hayes, who were my great great grandparents. It is also my understanding that William T. Martin is buried in the same cemetery as Sylvester Lindsey. If anyone can enlarge upon the Martin-Lindsey relationship, I would appreciate hearing.
