Sorry! You are absolutely right about the confusion of who was hidden under the floor boards. I realized it was badly written after it was sent in error and should have been corrected. But who would have to hide a new born baby. At the time they were searching and killing men who they thought should be fighting in the civil war. That e-mail was in "mail waiting to be sent" and I did not mean to send il before checking facts and editing it. But I hit the " send" button" by mistake. At that time I had a house full of children & grandchildren visiting during their spring break It was funny if you did not know the facts about James Henry's birth.. . As for the birth date of James Henry Smith, my research and others has he was born 12 Nov 1863 in Wayne Co.(and died 20 apr 1946 in Missippi CO., Arknsas) so I assumed that was the date that my g-grandfather Rev. Samuel Smith hid under the house. This date also seems to be accurate according to the cenus in 1870, 1880, 1900 in Wayne Co TN and in Lawrence Co TN in the 1920 & 1930 census. 1870 Wayne Co Age 6 1880 Wayne Co Age 16 1900 Wayne Co. Age 36 born 1863 1920 Lawrence Co Age 56 1930 Lawrence Co. Age 65 estimated **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
