I am interested in the roster of 19th Biffle's TN Calv or Inf Reg. I have seen it listed both ways. I have two Middleton brothers in this unit and cannot find online information on Co I. James Haywood Middleton and William. Middleton, J. H. Pvt. Co I 19th/9th Tennessee Calvary. Enlisted Clifton/Wayne County tennessee. Detailed as saddler. Chattanooga National Cemetery (A-Z) MIDDLETON, WILLIAM G. A 212 PVT I do not know if this is my William. I have another brother in 48th Tennessee Infantry (Nixons) Co. F Pvt. Caswell Middleton who died at Rock Island, IL POW. Rock Island, Illinois Prison Camp Film # M231 Grave #439 Another brother Anderson was old enough to have been in the war but I cannot find him anywhere. Their father Jordan would have been in his 50's at the time of the Civil War. These men were from Wayne County, TN. I am hoping that someone will point me in the right direction.
