Bobbye, I have extensive files on the Turnbough/Turnbow/Turnbo clan of SC/TN/TX (etc.) and do not find a Clabe Turnbo. My most 'recent' Turnbow relative was Jane Turnbow b. 1815 in Wayne Co., TN., so someone born in 1896 would not be directly in my line, so I'd likely not have them in my files. Nonetheless I checked my "HUGE compiled file" from 2001 before I weeded out a bunch of names, and still no Clabe. I DO have a couple of Turnbos with Claiborn as part of their name: William Claiborn Turnbo 1858-1936 m. Nancy Elizabeth Gibbs and Silas Claiborn Turnbo 1844-1925 m.
