Does anyway happen to know whether the two John Curtis individuals in the 1820 Wayne County, TN census were father and son? How would I look into this issue further? I think my ancestor John Solomon Curtis was the son of the elder John Curtis (b. 1769) but he is obviously not this Wayne County, TN younger John Curtis. There are just so many clues linking my Solomon (as he was known) with both Wayne County and this John Curtis (who I think was the son of either Thomas Curtis and Eleanor Bryant Curtis of Randolph County, NC or the son of a Joshua Curtis of Wilkes County, NC).
