Here's this week's updates to the Wayne County, Tennessee Genealogy and History Page ... Queries have been updated. Marriage Records 1 July 1929 - 31 Dec 1937 added! Jerry Murphy worked on these so give him the congrats!!!! We're working on getting the rest of the marriage records 1857 - 1929 input and posted, but that is going to take some time and a lot of work. Postings of the 1870 Population schedules for Wayne County are going to be delayed. As some of you may know, I fell Thursday the 12th and broke my wrist. Had to have surgery to reconstruct the wrist, so now I'm part metal! I've tried working on finishing Civil District 5, but am making way too many mistakes typing with just one hand. So until I can use both hands, the 1870 will be delayed. If anyone is interested in doing the input on the 1880 or 1900 please let me know. The 1880 will have to be done from the microfilm since we do not have permission to use Mrs. Brown's transcription. However, we do have permission to use Alf and June Scott's transcription of the 1900 and that should make input a lot easier. All for now. Edgar Edgar D. Hi Edgar, I have had my computer in the shops for several weeks, and I was glad when I got back on-line and found all of the wonderful things that have been added to the Wayne County site. I want to thank you and Jerry Murphy and everyone else that has worked on all of this. Wayne County has one of the BEST sites, and it's because of all of the hard work that you all do. A lot of my ancestors were in the 3rd District of Wayne County, and I was glad to see it on-line. I hope that your arm is better, but I know what that's like, so just take care of that metal! Thanks very much, Joyce Skelton Tuverson "Edgar D.
