I need help with a Martha Ann Hill. She married Joseph Cooper in 1845 at Threets, Alabama. Threets is about 12 to 15 miles northwest of Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama. It is about 4 miles west of Cloverdale, Alabama and about 3 or 4 miles south of the Alabama-Tennessee state line. In about 12 years of research, I have never been able to find who were the parents of Martha Ann Hill. She and husband Joseph Cooper, both died in the early 1890's and are buried just acoss the state line into Wayne County, Tennessee at the Balentine Cemetery, near Cypress Inn, Tennessee. It is now my guess that she may have not been a Hill, but had been married earlier to a Hill and that in her marriage to Joseph Cooper, she is listed as a Hill. Does anyone have in their Hill family records from probably Lauderdale County, Alabama or Wayne County or Hardin County, Tennessee a MARTHA ANN (Unknown) that married an (Unknown) HILL. This would have to be late 1830's or early 1840's, because of her age. Thanks.
