Can anyone tell me about the HAYES CEMETERY (#223) that appears on the Cemetery List on the Wayne County, TN website? I am a Hayes by birth and have ancestral roots in both Wayne and Lewis Counties where at least two generations on my great grandparents lived before part of the family migrated to Ellis County Texas in the late 1880s. My brother and I are anticipating a trip to Tennessee in the fall to tour the area where our forebears lived. We would be interested in including the HAYES CEMETERY in our visit if it is publicly accessible, or if we could obtain permission if it is privately owned. I believe that the following family from the 1860 Wayne County Federal Census is the household of my GG Grandparents and the their son, John, is my great grandfather. Is there a present community called Cromwell's Mill? Can anyone tell me how to pinpoint the location identified on this census?
